Terms of use
The short version: this site teaches the basics for free. It is not legal, medical, financial or professional advice, and you use it at your own risk.
Who we are
explained.page is a free education website run by Beet Labs. When these terms say “we” or “us,” they mean Beet Labs.
Education only, not advice
Our lessons explain general information in plain words. They are not legal, medical, tax, financial, insurance or professional advice, and reading them does not create a lawyer-client, doctor-patient or any other professional relationship.
Laws and rules are different in every state and change over time. Before you act, check the official sources we link to, or talk to a licensed professional about your own situation.
In an emergency, call 911.
No promises
We work hard to keep every lesson accurate and up to date, but we can’t promise that everything is complete, correct or current. The site is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Limits on our responsibility
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss or harm that comes from using, or relying on, this site or anything linked from it. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Links to other websites
We link to government offices and other websites so you can check things for yourself. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for what they say or do.
Using our content
Everything on this site, including the lessons, animations, pictures and code, is © Beet Labs. You’re welcome to read it, share links to it, and share the images and GIFs our share buttons make, as long as you keep our name on them.
Please don’t copy, republish, sell, or scrape our lessons or animations in bulk, or use them to build another website or product, without our written permission.
Corrections and copyright concerns
If you spot a mistake, or think something here uses your work without permission, email hello@explained.page and we’ll look into it quickly.
